Why Nadair
Specialists, not generalists — why it matters on installation day
When design and installation are handled by separate companies, the gaps get costly: oversized equipment, rework, missed dates. One team owning both ends is what removes them.
One Point of Contact
No juggling a separate engineering firm and installer. The same team carries your project from load calculation through start-up and commissioning.
No Imposed Service Contract
We install and hand over. There is no maintenance contract bundled into the price and no after-sales service to upsell you on.
Commercial-Only Expertise
Restaurants, factories, labs, gyms, warehouses — each has its own code and equipment. We install for them every day, not residential systems on the side.
Equipment
Commercial HVAC systems we install
Equipment sized for your building, installed to the Quebec Construction Code

Rooftop Units (RTUs)
Integrated heating and cooling in one rooftop package — the standard solution for commercial buildings in Quebec. New installations, replacements and capacity upgrades, including crane positioning and curb adapters.

Ductwork Networks
Air distribution, exhaust and ventilation in commercial-grade materials — including fire-rated kitchen exhaust ducts and zoned distribution for multi-tenant buildings.

Ventilation and Make-Up Air
Exhaust systems, make-up air units (MAU) and dedicated ventilation. Essential for commercial kitchens, industrial spaces and indoor air quality.
Installation
What a Nadair installation covers, start to finish
Installation is our core trade. Every project is carried out by our own RBQ-certified team with the rigour commercial buildings demand — and a single point of contact from design through commissioning.
✓ Rooftop units (RTU) — new installations, replacements and capacity upgrades
✓ Commercial ventilation, exhaust and make-up air systems
✓ Kitchen exhaust ductwork built for NFPA 96 compliance
✓ Zoned and CRAC systems for laboratories and data rooms
✓ Permits, inspections and coordination with electrical and gas trades
Kitchen exhaust is governed by fire-safety standards. On restaurant projects the ductwork is built for NFPA 96 kitchen hood compliance, so it passes inspection.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What our commercial clients ask us most often
What is the difference between HVAC installation and HVAC service?
Installation means putting in new equipment or replacing existing units. Service means maintenance, repairs and emergency calls. We do installation only, which is why there is no maintenance contract attached to our work.
Why choose an installation-only contractor instead of a general HVAC company?
Because installation is all we do, our team stays current on commercial equipment and site conditions, and there is no conflict between selling you service and sizing your system correctly. You get one point of contact from design to commissioning.
What commercial HVAC equipment do you install?
Rooftop units (RTU), ventilation and make-up air systems, commercial ductwork including kitchen exhaust, and zoned or CRAC systems for laboratories and data rooms. Equipment arrives with manufacturer warranties, and our installation work is warranted against defects.
How long does a commercial installation take?
It depends on scope. A straightforward rooftop unit replacement can be done in one to two days; a new installation with ductwork can take a week or more, and restaurant ventilation varies with the kitchen layout. Your quote includes a detailed timeline, and work can be scheduled outside your operating hours.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. Permit applications and required inspections are part of the service. We coordinate with the municipality and make sure the work complies with the Quebec Construction Code.
How is a commercial HVAC project priced?
Price follows scope: equipment capacity, crane access, curb or structural work, the extent of ductwork, and whether the work has to happen outside your operating hours. We quote the actual building after a site visit, never over the phone from a square-foot guess.
