HVAC installation for stores and shopping centres
In retail, HVAC gets noticed only when it goes wrong: a customer who keeps their coat on, a draughty entrance, noisy equipment above the tills.

Why it matters
What actually matters in retail
Three constraints turn up in nearly every store project.
Comfort at the entrance
Doors opening constantly create an uncomfortable zone that pushes customers to the back or straight out again.
Noise
A poorly chosen diffuser or an under-isolated unit is audible in a quiet store. That is a design criterion, not a detail.
Trading hours
Extended hours and weekend peaks change the load. The system has to follow without running flat out all day.

The system

Our process
From assessment to commissioning
Coordinated with your operations, permits and inspections included
01
Assessment
Site visit, survey of existing equipment, roof access and building constraints. We confirm what is actually there before proposing anything.
02
Design and quote
Sizing, duct routing and equipment selection, then a detailed quote: scope of work, equipment, schedule.
03
Installation
Roof work, ductwork and unit installation, electrical and gas coordination. Scheduled around your operating hours.
04
Permits and inspections
We handle permit applications and schedule the required inspections as part of the project, under Quebec building codes.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What our clients ask most often
Can you install without closing the store?
Yes in most cases. The bulk of the work is on the roof and outside trading hours; anything on the sales floor is scheduled overnight or early morning.
Do you work on tenant fit-outs?
Yes, regularly, coordinating with the general contractor and the landlord’s technical requirements.
How do you handle noise on the sales floor?
Through diffuser selection and placement, duct sizing and acoustic isolation at connections. It is far easier to solve in design than after the fact.
Do you work with property managers?
Yes, across several units or several buildings at once, with a per-site quote that stays readable for a board or an owner.
What efficiency should we expect from new equipment?
It depends on the equipment selected and what it replaces. We present the options with their efficiency ratings rather than promising a savings percentage.

Retail HVAC installation
Retail comfort has a direct commercial consequence: if a store is too hot, too cold or stuffy, customers shorten their visit. The building type also adds constraints — constant door traffic, large glazed facades, high internal lighting loads and, frequently, neighbours above or beside the unit.
Rooftop units are the usual choice because they free the sales floor of equipment. The design details that matter are zoning (sales floor, stockroom and office rarely want the same conditions), managing solar gain on glass, and keeping entry infiltration from overwhelming the system in winter. We keep visible equipment and ductwork out of the customer’s line of sight and serviceable without crossing the sales floor.
